When it comes to decorating beyond essentials, bathrooms tend to get overlooked. But bathrooms deserve as much love as any other room. After all, they’re used multiple times a day, they’re seen by guests and we all spend time in them. Today’s little decor idea is all about elevating your bathroom with some wall art.
Yes, bathrooms have to be functional but that doesn’t mean they can’t be aesthetic too.
While some of us may have a plant or two in our bathrooms and maybe a candle, I rarely see bathrooms with art and I wonder why. Most bathrooms are blank canvases crying out for some wall decor. After all, a bathroom is a place where you can admire the art while doing your business, if you get what I mean!
I’m not suggesting going for something original or expensive for obvious reasons. Finding an inexpensive piece of art isn’t hard and is perfect for the bathroom because you don’t have to fret about it getting ruined. But if you place it in a glass frame and away from the shower, it shouldn’t get ruined anyway.
It doesn’t matter if you have a teeny tiny bathroom or an extra large one, art will add character and warmth to your space. This is even more true if you have an all white bathroom or your bathroom look leans minimalist. The art will become the focal point which will add interest and depth to your loo.
And the size of the art doesn’t matter either — little or large can work. If you do have a larger space then you don’t have to stop at one pice of art. And finally bonus points for hanging art in a place where it’s reflected in the bathroom mirror.
Will you try adding some art to your bathroom?
