Wrapping gifts is the best part part of giving gifts so I always think about how I’m going to wrap my Christmas gifts. I’ve usually got the gift wrap planned long before I’ve even bought the gifts, exactly like this year – less than a week away from Christmas and I still haven’t bought the gifts but i’ve got a stylish and minimalist Christmas gift wrapping idea that you can easily make your own.
For this minimalist Christmas gift wrapping idea you don’t need any fancy material or special craft supplies. All you need is some basic kraft paper in the colours of your choice and a 6 point star template which you can download for free at the end of this post.
To keep things looking minimalist yet striking, I used the same colour base as the star but with neutrals like this, you can easily mix it up.

Materials:
Kraft paper rolls

scissors and pencil
Print out your star templates on card and cut them out. Use the template to draw the stars on your kraft paper and cut them out. Making the 3d stars needs just a bit of simple folding which you can see in the short video below.
Once you’ve wrapped your gift, put dot of glue on the each of the 6 points of the star and gently glue on to your gift.
As you can see these stars are really simple to fold. If you wanted to mix it up, you could use 2-3 different sized and coloured stars layered on top of each other on your gifts.
I’ve used these stars as Christmas gift toppers but they can be used as all sorts of Christmas decor. You could add string and create a star garland or use them as a Christmas table decoration or just display them on your mantle. You could even super-size them and hang them from the ceiling… lots of possibilities.
Don’t forget to download the star template below.
