Sometimes it’s the simplest ideas that are the best. And that’s exactly what I have for you today – a super quick and simple diy idea.
I was inspired to make these modern brass clip bookmarks as I love adding a small personal touch to the gifts I give. Sometimes it’s as simple as adding a handwritten note but with Xmas coming up, I thought it would be nice to have a little extra to add to all those book gifts I’ll be giving out. Books of all descriptions – books that inspire, novels, planners, and especially home decor coffee table books – are my go to gifts for so many people. And this year I’ll be adding these brass clip bookmarks as a little extra something.

Materials:
large brass triangle pendants
small brass triangle pendants
sandpaper
loctite super glue power flex (US readers find it here)
This DIY could not be easier. Gently sand the base of the larger brass triangle and then glue the base of the smaller triangle to the base of the larger one. Follow the instructions on the glue, leave to dry and job done!
I had thought that these could double up as cool paper clips but my hubby Richard thought otherwise. He told me that they are a bit over the top to be paper clips so I guess I’ll stick to using them as bookmarks. I’ve already started using them for myself and i’ve made a load more to give away.
I’m now using these bookmarks not just in the books I read, but also in my planner, my ideas notebook and pretty much in every book I use.
Do you tend to give books as gifts? Who will you make these for?

These look great. They look like they belong at ‘Urban Outfittes’ or other boho stores 🙂
Thank you! Your comment has made my day 🙂
