Nothing says cosy quite like beige decor. And this home in Gothenburg, Sweden totally embraces beige in every room. Different shades of beige are used throughout the home creating a calm and inviting space.
If you love beige decor, you’ll love this latest home tour. As you’ll see, the different beige tones really highlight the architectural features in the home. It’s also the smaller decor details that add so much interest, like the choice of lighting and textiles. Keep reading as there are lots of ideas and inspiration to take away from this home and make your own.
The beige walls in the living room are complimented with more beige decor in different shades. You’ve got beige curtains, cushions, artwork and more. Tone on tone colours are a great way to make a room look effortlessly cohesive and the addition of lots of white, like in this room, helps to break up the look without taking away from it. The beautiful white linen sofa and the white chairs really standout against the beige walls.
In addition to the white furniture you have white doors, trim and a white ceiling. This contrast with the beige allows the architectural features of the room to shine, and it especially accentuates the ceiling height.
To add depth and interest you have the odd pop of colour with a rust coloured cushion, some plants and a tiny hint of black. The wooden accents like the coffee table and side tables add more warmth to this cosy space.
The dining room is decorated in a similar shade of beige as the living room but features a lots of black accents. Black and beige are another combo that works without fail. The black really pops against the beige and looks striking.
There are plants for a hint of colour as well as art that embraces the overall colour scheme of black, white and different shades of beige. And as almost always seen in Scandinavian homes you have feature lighting and lots of texture in this dining room.
This Swedish apartment has two bedrooms both of which are beige — one a very pale beige while the other is a much darker beige. Both rooms also have lots of white and black accents throughout.
What caught my eye in the smaller bedroom (pictured first) is the bedding – the striped black and beige looks so striking in this bedroom even though it is a simple design. I also love the statement (aff) paper maché lamp by the end of the bed.
In the larger bedroom, the crisp white bedding with the subtle black trim really stands out against the dark beige walls. The black lights provide contrast and the (aff) light beige linen curtains add a softness to the room.
Lastly, I wanted to include a picture of the hallway which is simply decorated with both aesthetics and practicality in mind. The narrow space feels bigger because of the colour scheme as well as the choice and placement of the furniture.
This beige Scandinavian home has so much to love about it but most of all it’s the cosy and calm atmosphere that they have managed to create.
