DIY clay and glitter Christmas ornaments (with video)

diy polymer clay Christmas ornaments

Christmas is coming!  And at your DIY family we couldn’t be more excited about that.  One of the best parts of Christmas is all the crafting and DIY you can do – from advent calendars to Christmas ornaments. With the cold weather outside, it’s the perfect excuse to snuggle indoors, drink hot chocolate and spend your days crafting and creating.  And of course there is nothing better than that for kids.

Anya is really excited about Christmas and today she’s sharing a Christmas craft video – polymer clay Christmas ornaments finished with lots of glitter.  Currently, creating with polymer clay is probably Anya’s favourtie thing to do.  These DIY Christmas ornaments are easy for kids to make themselves (with you doing the baking of the clay).  They are super glittery and pretty when hung up as they catch the light so beautifully.  And they make lovely little handmade gifts.

I thought I would list the materials needed here too so you have a list but Anya does show them all in the video. To make these glittery polymer clay Christmas ornaments you need the following:

home bake polymer clay
rolling pin
Christmas cookie cutters
glitter shakers
a cocktail stick
sealer and glue in one
paint brush
string
scissors
(find product details at the end of the post)

Now it’s over to Anya who is going to show you how to make these polymer clay Christmas ornaments:

These Christmas ornaments are so fun to make and adding the glitter is the best bit. But be warned, your home will be covered in glitter!
