Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without bringing the outdoors in. In other words lots of greenery, foliage, branches and more! Of course there’s the Christmas tree but I mean beyond that. There are many ways to do this but one of my favourite ways of bringing greenery in to the house is with wreaths.
Wreaths can be as big and elaborate as you want but they can also be simple and small and still be equally beautiful. Sometimes giving gift cards is the best option. But they can look so boring just tucked in to a basic envelope. Here’s a clever and fun way to ‘wrap’ your gift cards by placing them in a DIY mini wreath. It looks so pretty and it doubles up as festive decor.
Mini wreaths can be used in so many ways but one of my favourites are using mini wreaths as cake toppers. They look so effortlessly festive and pretty. I made these as cupcake toppers but you could easily take this idea and top larger Christmas cakes with a few mini wreaths. And for an extra festive touch, sprinkle some icing sugar for a snowy effect.
Mini wreaths always make beautiful Christmas table decorations. You can use them as napkin rings but I love how they’ve been used in this table setting. Paired with simple white candles, these DIY half wreaths look so pretty and make the perfect finishing touch to your festive table.
This is such a simple idea but it looks so fab! Make a mini wreath garland using pine branches or you could use any foliage that is easy to bend – think rosemary or eucalyptus or whatever you like. You could make a few of these garlands and dot them around your home to add a bit of holiday decor to all your rooms.
This is a great idea for an alternative Christmas tree, perhaps if you don’t have space for one or you want something a little different. Simply pop some branches in a vase and decorate them with mini fir wreaths. But even if you do have a tree, this simple decoration would look great as a table centrepiece and it’s so easy to pull off.
