9 DIY Advent Calendar Ideas for Xmas

diy advent calendar ideas for Xmas

The countdown to Christmas is almost as much fun as the day itself.  And the best way to countdown is with an advent calendar which adds so much to the excitement.  No matter what age, it’s such fun to open each day for the 24 days before Christmas.  You can always buy your advent calendars but making your own adds an extra special touch to the countdown. And besides the shop bought ones are so samey and boring!

Making an annual advent calendar has become a tradition not only in my home but also on this blog. This year I’ve done something a little different with a printable advent calendar which you can check out.

I’ve also found 9 awesome DIY advent calendar ideas for Xmas this year – there’s a mix of them but they are all easy to make and you’ll find some that can hold little gifts while others are activity advent calendars.  Many of these ideas are quick and easy and can be made in a couple of hours or less.
