Mother’s Day is around the corner, in the UK at least. Does anybody know why the UK Mother’s Day is different from the rest of the world? I know, I know… I should just google it.
Anyway with UK Mother’s Day coming up I wanted to make a little something for all our mums. So when Epson printers asked to partner with me, I thought what better gift than a handwritten card for our mums. I came up with these cute terrazzo cards and envelopes which you can print and give to your mum as a little handwritten note or use them to top your gifts. But why stop at our mums… print as many as you like and give them to your grandma’s, aunts, teachers and anybody who has been a mother figure in your life.
Are you a fan of the whole terrazzo trend? I wasn’t sure at first but it’s really grown on me. I’m not crazy about terrazzo designs that use too many colours so I’ve chosen a subtle colour palette for these printable cards. The photo’s don’t do the terrazzo pattern justice but once you print it out, you’ll see how realistic the pattern looks.
Materials:
150gsm card*
kraft paper round stickers or washi tape
scissors
*I used a creamy white card called ‘snow white’ as I found it brought out the terrazzo colours better than when I used a pure, bright white card.
Grab the free template above or below and print on card. Cut out the envelope and the square card. Fold the curved edges of the envelope one over the other, pop your card in and seal with your stickers.
I printed mine on my new Epson EcoTank printer which I am so pleased with. Up until recently, I was a bit of a printer scrooge. No one in this house was allowed to use my printer because the ink ran out so quickly and it was expensive to replace every few weeks. Anya, my daughter, was always asking to print stuff and unless it was strictly necessary school work, the answer was a firm no.
But now, all that has dramatically changed because the Epson printer ink lasts up to 2 years. Yes, 2 years. Thats about 4500 pages in black and 7500 pages in colour. I couldn’t believe it when I heard it but thats exactly why it’s called EcoTank. So now I let Anya print away to glory and I print anything and everything in sight.
There are lots of other reasons why I love my new Epson printer like the fact that it’s a photocopier and a scanner too which is so handy. And with wi-fi you can print from anywhere in your home. The printer is more expensive than regular inkjet printers but it’s a one time investment and the amount you’ll save on ink over the years makes it worthwhile. The only thing I found was that the ink isn’t quite as dark as my old inkjet. This is mainly noticeable when you compare so it’s not such a big deal. And for everyday home printing, it’s not an issue at all.
I’ve made these free printable cards especially for Mother’s Day but you can use them as little notes for any occasion. Don’t forget to grab your free copy above or below.

This is fab Nomita, I love that it’s pretty but also has a cool design, so doesn’t look like some of those typical over-flowery Mother’s Day cards. Also like that you can use them at any time of year. That Epson printer sounds awesome by the way, off to to have a look around the site! x

Thank you. Mother’s Day was the inspo behind these cards but as you say, they can be used anytime and will make cute thank you cards too. The Epson printer has been fab – so economical on the ink and I love having a photocopier too.
