Design finds | timeless new pieces from Audo CPH

minimal Danish design

If you’re not yet familiar with Audo Copenhagen, it’s an unmissable Danish design house that makes beautiful furniture and decor for the home. It’s up there with the best of Scandi design and they’ve recently introduced a few new pieces that caught my eye.

For those who already know Audo CPH, you’ll know that their designs are modern and timeless. Clean lines and minimal silhouettes dominate with plenty of aesthetic interest. Their designs embrace both form and functionality in abundance so they’re definitely a ‘need to know’ brand for those who love Scandinavian design and decor.

Here I’m highlighting their newest products but there’s plenty more to love from this brand.

large padded pouf Audo CPH

First up is the passage pouf which has an upholstered seat and wooden legs. It’s generous in size with the seat having a 90cm diameter. With a simple yet stylish aesthetic, this pouf is handy as an extra seat or as a surface to lay books, magazines and more on.

Designed by Kroyer-Saetter-Lassen, the passage pouf comes in a range muted colours and you can choose between dark walnut for the legs or natural oak for a paler look.

wooden cabinet with fluted glass

Reeded or fluted glass cabinets offer the best combination of design and practicality — they look gorgeous and they allow you to almost hide away your stuff. Audo’s latest offering is this aptly named curiosity cabinet which has a timeless look and feel and will fit in to so many spaces in the home.

Designed by Mentze Ottenstein, this reeded glass cabinet comes in two heights. It has an oak frame and is completed with dulled brass handles and hinges.

space saving wall desk

This wall mounted desk is space saving and ideal for smaller homes. Called corbel desk, it’s beautifully designed with subtle details like the metal brackets. The desk is designed to sit a little away from the wall allowing you to be cable tidy.

Designed by Kroyer-Saetter-Lassen, this wall-hung desk is small enough to fit in a tiny space whether in a bedroom, a hallway or a corner of a living room. Audo have also designed a shelf to complement it (see below) for those who need a little extra storage.

marble wall shelf

The corbel shelf is a stand alone shelf but it can also be paired with the corbel desk featured above. This minimalist shelf would be a handy addition in many rooms but I especially like it for a kitchen or an entryway.

The shelf comes in a dark oak with metal brackets, much like the desk. There’s also a version with a marble shelf as pictured above.

minimalist pendant light Danish

This simple, sleek and stylish tubulaire pendant light comes in many different sizes — you have the pendant as pictured above, you also have a single pendant light as well as a chandelier with 6, 20 or 38 hanging tubes.

Made of aluminium and steel and designed by Kroyer-Saetter-Lassen, this pendant light is a modern and minimalist take on industrial design.

wooden side table coffee table

Called the passage lounge table, it has a very similar profile to the passage pouf. It comes in three sizes — 50, 70 and 90 cms — so depending on which one you choose, it can be a side table or a coffee table.

This lounge table is available in natural oak, dark lacquered oak and walnut. This table has a soft and simple feel about it, making it an ideal addition to any warm minimal living room.
