home tour | a calm vintage modern home with striking architectural details

rustic modern apartment tour

Located in Lisbon, Portugal, this home has so much charm and beauty. Designed by Annabell Kutucu Interior Design & Styling, the apartment boasts stunning architectural features which have been beautifully complemented with equally stunning interior design.

The apartment is decorated throughout in a vintage modern style meaning there are plenty of aged, rustic pieces paired with sleek contemporary designs. This combination, against the backdrop of the architectural features, creates a space that is so charming and stylish. The colours are muted with lots of beige tones and white contrasted with dark wood accents.

Texture is central to the decor of this apartment. In both the living room and dining room there is a mix of lots of different textures like untreated or raw wood, natural linen, woven fabrics and handmade ceramics, to name just a few.

In addition to the range of textures, you have furniture and decorations in a range of interesting shapes which creates contrast and adds interest.

The bedroom follows the same decor style as the rest of the apartment with a mix of rustic and modern pieces, lots of textures, and a mix of tactile materials. The bedroom is more minimally furnished though but has plenty of visual interest with the architectural details and the few carefully chosen decorations.

How beautiful are the curved window alcoves? Just stunning. A room like this, with such striking architectural features rarely needs too many decorations because they will just distract from the beauty of the space.

Aside from the windows, I’m loving the two pieces of art which add interest without overpowering the room.

Above are a few more pictures of this home including the minimalist home office. As you can see there are interesting furniture pieces, lamps and artworks dotted throughout this home.
